Paul Poberezny, the leader of a small group of aviation enthusiasts who had been assembling at his home on an irregular basis, founds the Experimental Aircraft Association and is elected as its first President. On January 26, 1953, Poberezny calls the first official meeting of EAA at Curtiss-Wright (now Timmerman) Field in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The group originally gathered together to aid and assist amateur aircraft builders.

Great fun was had by all at tonight’s Chapter Holiday Party.

Made progress on the left wing tonight. Put the ribs in order and did some additional filing. Most proud of my "no way this is going to sit in the middle of my garage" powered wing lift.

Good progress was made at Wing Night tonight on our Pober Super Ace project.

It was all there. It appears my Facebook live event didn't happen. Old man yelling at cloud.

Dear Fans of DALLASBAY,
Thank you so much for your response to our wanting to have a fly-in to celebrate our beloved airport. I know it holds a special place in the hearts of all who learned to fly here.♥
I received a text from the owners of the airport ( the ones who are trying to sell the airport to make way for apartments) that they will not allow us to have any flying activities at the fly-in.
So, the flour bombing, spot landing competition, short take-off competition, and rides are not going to be able to take place.
Even so, our spirits are NOT dampened!
There will be a fly-in✔
There will be food to purchase✔
There will be a raffle for fuel✔
Prizes✔
There will be shared memories, shared friends and family, and shared good times✔
Please bring your plane and your stories and let's celebrate Dallas Bay!✈
We hope to see you on July 17th!🥳
All proceeds will go to the Play Like Bob Foundation.

What a great day for a Young Eagles Rally. Thanks to everyone that came out today and let us take your kids up for a flight experience. We were able to fly 31 kids today with the majority having never been in a small plane before.
Thanks to all the volunteers, especially the pilots who donated their time and planes, that helped make it all possible. You can tell by all the smiles that everyone had a great time.

We are helping Frank Fry unload his newly acquired Bellanca Cruisemaster project this evening. Good find Frank!

Some visual inspiration for our Super Ace.

We were able to fly two Young Eagles last Sunday. Both had never been in any airplane. The young lady wants to fly for the Air Force and this just reinforced that goal. We are way behind on Young Eagle requests so it was nice to fly a few. One was from a year ago. We are planning an event in May were we hope to fly many more.
