on, where he was so happy to pass on his knowledge of fire fighting for the many years he served there. This was also evident as Charlie was very instrumental in helping establish so many of the various fire departments now existing in our area. Later in life and just before his passing, Charlie was instrumental in organizing and forming the Beech Grove Volunteer Fire Department in the Beech Grove Community.....one of the last areas of Jasper County ESD 4 without primary fire protection. In honor of Charlie's memory, we have named our new fire training facility after him. Gee Memorial Fire Training Facility is a collaborative effort between the City of Jasper and Jasper ESD 4.

It was a packed house last night at the Jasper Fire Department as the Jasper County Emergency Services District No. 4 Fire Academy, along with the DETCCA High School Fire Academy in conjuction with Kilgore College Fire Academy, celebrated its graduation ceremony.

A total of 13 graduates were recognized for successfully completing their respective academy. We are incredibly proud of each of these individuals and their commitment to serving their communities.

This is a special group of men, women, and young adults who faced challenges, worked hard, and persevered to reach this milestone. Their dedication, determination, and willingness to serve are truly commendable.

We are grateful to each graduate and to the departments they represent for trusting us with the opportunity to not only instruct them, but to mentor and lead them as they achieved this important goal.

There is no doubt these graduates will continue to give their all as they protect and serve the communities they call home. We look forward to watching each of them grow in the fire service and make a lasting impact.
