The Heman Drummond Center of Innovation (HDCI) is hiring (5) Skilled Trade Instructors and (3) Skilled Trade Technicians. You do not need a teaching degree to apply - we will work through that together over the next year – we need your trade knowledge and industry experience. HDCI is the name that The Walker County Center of Technology (WCCT) is becoming as we move into our new Center this Fall.

Needed Skilled Trade Instructor and Technician Jobs are as follows:

Commercial Construction Instructor

Commercial Electrical Systems Instructor

Industrial Fabrication/Ironworker/Welding Instructor

Health Science Instructor

Cosmetology & Barbering Instructor

Automotive Technology Technician

Collision Repair Technician

Graphic Design Technician

All of these positions require strong trade knowledge, field experience, safety awareness, instructional ability, and the capacity to lead students in a structured professional training environment. The Skilled Trades Instructor works with HDCI leadership, fellow instructors, school partners, and employers to support student development, workforce readiness, and successful student placement. HDCI prepares high school students for careers in the skilled trades through hands-on training and direct pathways to employment with industry partners. We hire instructors directly from industry. If you have strong field experience and enjoy teaching or mentoring others, we want to talk with you.
