Texas Diagnosticians Week

Leslie Roy is a long-time educator and long-time diagnostician. Early in her career, she taught in Louisiana, including in a small school in which all twelve grades were under one roof!

Mrs. Roy is proud of the relationships that she has established with the parents and teachers as they worked together to best serve the needs of the students.

Outside of school, Mrs. Roy enjoys reading, camping, and cruising (which she greatly looks forward to resuming!).

Renda Buckley has worked for Jasper ISD for sixteen years. We were thrilled when she decided to become certified as a diagnostician and greatly appreciate that she joined the evaluation team this school year. Previously at JISD, she served as an ARD Manager and Special Education Junior High Lead Teacher.

Mrs. Buckley loves working with children, parents, teachers, and administrators to develop meaningful learning opportunities for students with disabilities.

Prior to coming to Jasper, Mrs. Buckley worked for schools in Colorado and Mississippi. When not working hard for the students and staff of JISD, Mrs. Buckley can be found serving her church, cooking, traveling, and enjoying her grandchildren.

Tina Coleson has worked for Jasper ISD for twenty-two years. She has served as a diagnostician for the past six years. Previously she worked for Newton ISD.

Mrs. Coleson is proud to be able to evaluate a student to identify the way in which the student learns the best and working with the staff of JISD to determine how best to meet the student’s educational needs.

Outside of school, Mrs. Coleson enjoys spending time with family, watching her daughter cheer and play softball, and playing with her grandson.

Lauren Bean has worked for Jasper ISD for sixteen years. The past eight years, she has served the students and staff as a diagnostician. Additionally, this year Mrs. Bean is serving as the district Behavior Specialist which allows her to support teachers as they increase their skills in working with students with challenging behaviors.

Mrs. Bean is proud of the relationships that she has formed and maintained with JISD students and parents.

Outside of school, Mrs. Bean enjoys spending time at home with family, playing outside with her children, and taking (much deserved) naps!
