MAINLAND WATER MAIN REPAIR COMPLETE
Repairs to the water main break have been completed and water service has been restoredThe Boil Water Advisory remains in effect until 6:00 PM on Saturday, September 5. Customers within the affected area should continue to boil all water used for human consumption, including drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, making ice and washing hands, or use bottled water. Thank you for your patience while crews worked to complete these repairs.

BOIL WATER ADVISORY
Water consumers on the Currituck County Mainland Water System from Currituck Trading Post (3581 Caratoke Highway) south to the Wright Memorial Bridge (9175 Caratoke Highway) are under a boil water advisory. The Currituck County Water Department advises consumers to boil all water used for human consumption (including drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, making ice, and washing hands) or use bottled water. Vigorous boiling for one (1) minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.
This advisory remains in effect until 6:00pm on September 5, 2026

MAPLE ROAD CLOSURE
Maple Road is currently closed from the Currituck County Water Department (444 Maple Road) to Shortcut Road while crews continue working to repair the water main break. Motorists should avoid the area and use an alternate route. The road will remain closed while repairs are underway. Additional updates will be shared as they become available.

MAINLAND WATER SERVICE INTERRUPTION
Water consumers on the Currituck County Mainland Water System from Currituck Trading Post (3581 Caratoke Highway) south to the Wright Memorial Bridge, could experience an interruption in water service due to a leak repair resulting from a water main break.
County staff are currently working to repair the leak and restore the distribution system. Every effort is being made to keep any interruption in service to a minimum. We appreciate your patience and understanding while our crews work to complete the necessary repairs.

Currituck County Mainland Water customers in the Barco, Waterlily, Maple and Shawboro areas may experience low water pressure due to a water main break on Maple Road. Crews are currently working to make repairs and restore normal water pressure. There is no boil water advisory at this time. Additional updates will be shared as they become available.
