St. Matthew's Lutheran Church and School

Due to the forecasted rain, we will be using the gym tomorrow morning for Sprouts! Feel free to bring older siblings while we are on summer vacation!

Our 7th and 8th graders spent their final full day of school at their picnic at Palmer Park. It's not a day at Palmer Park without the annual "climb in the tree and smile" picture!

Our 1st and 2nd graders had a glowing good time at their Glow Party today! From neon games and glowing bracelets to dancing and laughter, the classroom was shining almost as bright as our students’ smiles. 💛💚💙🩷

Today is the last full day of school, so it's time to celebrate our 8th grade graduate! Congratulations to Hannah as she graduates tomorrow night and moves on to high school! God's blessings to her!

Our 5th - 8th graders enjoyed an end of the year field trip to Madison today!

Since January, our 3rd and 4th graders have been exchanging pen pal letters with members of our congregation. Each month, our students practiced their cursive writing (and eventually typing skills) and learned how to write a friendly letter and address an envelope. The students very much enjoyed getting to know these congregation members through the letters they wrote back to our kiddos - mail day was always a fun day, with the students sharing with each other what their pen pal had written to them.

Thanks to our willing volunteers who wrote letters to our 3rd and 4th graders! 💌📬

From September to November, these fine ladies student taught at St. Matthew's with Miss Moeller and Mrs. Fleming. Today, they received their assignments into full time ministry and into their own classrooms. Miss Rassat was assigned to Columbus, Ohio and Miss Romsdahl was assigned to Caledonia, Wisconsin.

We wish then God's richest blessings as they begin their ministries in their new callings!

Our Sistine Chapel is complete! Our 5th and 6th graders modeled Michelangelo and drew pictures of Bible stories underneath their tables and desks. It's only proper to display them on the ceiling, just like at the Sistine Chapel!

Mrs. Newlin would like to remind everyone that if you plan on eating at the picnic on the last day of school, you should sign up in the school lobby! Please do so before Friday, May 15th! Thank you! 🌭🍔

These happy campers in grades 3-8 invite you to their Entertainment Night tomorrow, Friday, May 8th as they present their musical "Summer Camp!" The show starts at 6:00 p.m. Come join us for the fun at Camp Runamok!
