🌟 Welcome to Jefferson Elementary, Ms. Kaster! 🌟

We are excited to welcome Natalia Kaster to the Jefferson Elementary team as our new EL (English Learner) Teacher! Students will address her as Ms. Kaster.

📚 About Ms. Kaster
Ms. Kaster is a recent graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater! While this is her first official year leading a classroom of her own, she is already a familiar face around the district having served as a substitute teacher. She also brings rich experience working with students through tutoring and university placements, with a strong focus on supporting English Learners.

🏡 Beyond the Classroom
Family is at the heart of everything Ms. Kaster does! She comes from a close-knit family of four—including her mom, dad, and younger brother. Growing up in a multicultural household with a Mexican mother and American father, she was raised bilingual and deeply connected to both cultures.

In her free time outside of school, Ms. Kaster loves:

💛 Spending quality time with her friends and family

We are thrilled to introduce the newest member of our Jefferson Elementary family, Courtney Meulemans, who is joining us as our new Speech Language Pathologist! Students will know her as Miss Courtney.

📚 About Miss Courtney
Miss Courtney is a proud graduate of UW-Whitewater and brings a wealth of experience to our community. This marks her 9th year as a Speech Language Pathologist! Throughout her career, she has had the unique opportunity to work in schools, hospitals, outpatient clinics, and skilled nursing facilities—helping individuals from birth to end-of-life communicate better and improve their eating/swallowing skills.

🏡 Beyond the Classroom
When she’s not working with our students, Miss Courtney loves:
🍳 Cooking up delicious meals
📖 Curling up with a good book
🚶‍♀️ Going on relaxing walks
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Spending quality time with her family

She and her husband, Zach, are parents to two young children, Cooper and Clara. Rounding out their household is Wallie, a lively dog who always keeps the family on their toes!

Calling all Jaguar families! School supply lists for the upcoming 2026–2027 school year are available online.
To find your student's list:

Online registration is open! This is something that needs to be done EVERY Year.

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!!!!

School starts Aug. 24, 2026, for all students enrolled in the School District of Janesville, and NOW IS THE TIME to get online registrations complete.

In order to have the most up-to-date information for the 2026-27 school year, please complete online registration as soon as possible. Online registration is not required for students entering Early Childhood or P4J. K-12 students ARE required to have an online registration completed each school year.

Online registration allows you to update student/household/contact information and allows you to give permissions for items such as field trips and directory data. Online registration DOES NOT assign your student to a specific school. Once completed for the year, the registration follows your student to all schools attended during the 26-27 school year.

The parent/guardian listed as the primary household in Infinite Campus can complete online registration by logging into the Infinite Campus Parent Portal Link.

¡¡¡¡LA INSCRIPCIÓN EN LÍNEA YA ESTÁ ABIERTA!!!!

Las clases comienzan el 24 de agosto de 2026 para todos los estudiantes inscritos en el Distrito Escolar de Janesville, y AHORA ES EL MOMENTO de completar las inscripciones en línea.

Para poder contar con la información más actualizada para el año escolar 2026-2027, por favor complete la registración en línea lo antes posible. La registración en línea no es obligatoria para los estudiantes que ingresan a Primera Infancia (Early Childhood) ni P4J. Sin embargo, SÍ se requiere completar la registración en línea cada año escolar para los estudiantes de Kínder al 12º grado.

La registración en línea le permite actualizar la información del estudiante, del hogar y de contacto, así como otorgar autorizaciones para asuntos como excursiones y datos para el directorio escolar. La registración en línea NO asigna a su estudiante a una escuela específica. Una vez que completada para el ciclo escolar, la registración aplicará para cualquier escuela a la que asiste su estudiante durante el año escolar 2026-2027.

El padre, madre o tutor que figure como el hogar principal en Infinite Campus puede completar la inscripción en línea iniciando sesión en el enlace del Portal para Padres de Infinite Campus.

As another incredible school year comes to a close, we have to say some bitter-sweet goodbyes to several amazing members of our staff. 🐾

Whether they are heading into a well-deserved retirement, bringing their talents to a new school, or embarking on exciting new endeavors, their impact on our students and community will never be forgotten. Thank you for your dedication, your smiles, and the countless ways you’ve made our school a better place.
