Homeschooling at its finest!
I broke the kitchen faucet yesterday. Wesley drove me to Menards so we could buy a new one. He was very helpful in picking one out. I think he was going to help install it, but Charles totally had it all figured out. He removed the old one, installed the new, zero leaks, and nice new faucet for me! (and finally clean dishes or at least a sink full of dirty ones waiting to be washed)

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. And doing school while holding the baby so Mom can make lunch is one of them. Thanks, Diana, for helping!

🤣After reading about Amerigo Vespucci, I asked the kids what his name was so it would cement it more in their minds. I asked Norah first. She replied, "American Sushi!"!!! 🤣🤣

Quiet and peaceful days....

Norah wrote a letter to me today and included a photo. Most of the kids have been complaining about school starting, so when she gave me this, my heart was encouraged again!

Since we added to our family twice this year, one by adoption and one biologically, the theme for our homeschool this year is GRACE!!
We will still try to post what is going on in our school year, but I'm going to try to be Grace-filled with myself on that, too.
If you could, be in prayer for us that we focus on relationships with the Lord, amongst ourselves, friends, and family over academia.
Here's to a great school year: 2022-2023!

This too! I read this book every summer to remind me why I homeschool. I think I have read it 5 times.

Interesting thought....
"socialization" translates to "social contagion"
".. Youngsters are left to find their habits and values and life styles - the ingredients of their characters- from....the "social contagion" of their peers. "
