A friend of mine and I were arguing about World History vs US History. I believed that U.S. alone was too narrow to hold my interest. He sent me the book “Mayflower”. By Nathaniel Philbrick. This video touches on a few of the revelations the deeper dive into the story provided.

Beautiful day for a drive, I hit the Indian Agency House in Portage. Great information available. Then I crossed the Fox river to see the Fort site and the portage point. Crazy to think this relatively short walk from the Fox to the Wisconsin River is the only spot of land needed to walk to reach either the Gulf of Mexico Via the Mississippi or the Atlantic Ocean via the Great Lakes and the St Lawrence
