URGENT: Due to the Blizzard conditions, projected ice presence, and for the safety of all of our students, families, and staff, JMCH will be closed tomorrow, Monday March 16. We will reopen as normal on Tuesday, March 17. Everyone stay safe and warm!

ATTENTION PARENTS: It's officially that time of year! Please send your student(s) with season-appropriate clothing, coats, hats, gloves, and shoes to be worn while outside each day. Fleeces and sweatshirts are no longer warm enough, and we want all our friends to be able to enjoy their time outside.

All items should be labeled with your student's first and last name, to avoid mix-ups.

ATTENTION INCOMING P4J FAMILIES: If you have a student who is attending with us for P4J in the 25-26 school year, and you have not picked up their packet, please do so as soon as possible in our main office. Please note that this packet is different from the paperwork you filled out for the School District, there are papers included that we need on file in order for your child to attend the first day of school.

We are pleased to offer a look at a Primary Montessori classroom in action! Join us Thursday, April 24th from 5:00-6:15 PM, as students and guides demonstrate a work cycle. This event is silent and observation-only, intended for those who are interested to learn more about the world of Montessori. Childcare will not be offered to attendees during this event.

JMCH will be open and operating as normal tomorrow, February 12th, 2025. If this changes for any reason, we will contact families as soon as possible to notify you. Everyone stay safe and warm!

ATTENTION P4J FAMILIES: The School District of Janesville has cancelled P4J & Public School for tomorrow, Tuesday, January 21, 2025. P4J classes WILL NOT be in session.

JMCH will still be open and operating as normal for Infant, Mobile Infant, Young Toddler, Toddler, Primary, and School Age classrooms, as of right now. In the event that we make the decision to close early or for the day, we will reach out to families when the decision is made.

Hoping all of our families had a safe, happy holiday and New Year!

We're so excited to see all our friends back tomorrow, as P4J and public schools are back in session!

It's going to get cold the next few weeks, so please make sure your student(s) have all the winter gear they need to stay warm, as classes 2 and up go outside as long as it is above zero degrees with the wind-chill. Our Infant, Mobile Infant, and Young Toddler classes go outside as long as it is 20 degrees or higher with the wind chill.

Each student needs a winter coat, snow pants, boots, gloves/mittens, and a hat labeled with their first and last name each day they are attending JMCH.

The Holiday Spirit theme for this Friday, December 13th has been changed to Gingerbread Day! Come dressed as your best gingerbread cookie!

Montessori parents: Please make sure you are sending your child with a labeled winter coat, gloves/mittens, weather-appropriate shoes, and a winter hat each day. We still are spending A LOT of time outside every day, and we want everyone to be able to enjoy it without shivering! While we love to enjoy the sun in the afternoon, it gets very cold in the morning and when the sun begins to set, and we still have classes using the playgrounds all throughout the day.
