Last week our Eagle graduates came back to the nest to check in with Mrs. Simmons, visit their previous teachers, and run their elementary halls and playground one last time. Good luck in your future endeavors, we are so proud of the Eagles you have all become!

Last week we had spirit week for the staff here at Adams. Twin day and Anything but a Shoe day were a hit! The staff had some creative fun while the students were left scratching their heads trying to figure out who was who, and why staff were wearing random objects on their feet. What a fun week!

Today School District of Janesville Superintendent Mark Holzman spent part of his morning with the students here at Adams Elementary. He spent his time reading Buffalo Fluffalo and Puffalo and a school favorite: Pugtato, to Mrs. Slatters 4th grade class.
Mr. Holzman then moved on to join Mr. Johnsons 5th grade class for PE. There he played an invigorating game of Sharks and Lifeguards, where he was promptly eaten by a shark. Next was a somewhat calmer game of Duck, Duck, Goose. He was quickly chosen to be the goose, and then the chase began.
The students enjoyed the visit with lots of laughs and smiles. Thank you for coming and spending time with us!

Please be advised that on April 1, Adams Elementary and Clinton Elementary participated in a High-Stakes Principal Exchange Program.
The "Simmons-to-Simmons" ratio remained stable, though student confusion levels spiked by 400% during morning announcements. Mrs. Simmons and Mr. Simmons successfully infiltrated each other's buildings, confusing both children and staff who weren't quite sure if they were seeing double or just hadn't had enough coffee. The "Switcheroo" concluded by mid-morning, presumably because they realized they didn't know where the respective staff bathrooms were. It was the shortest "Parent Trap" remake in history, but definitely the most educational.
