Funnyface and friends Dedicated to Funny Face and animals who have been at the shelters way to long . She' had been there since her owner died. Unfortunately she is no longer with us.

Funny face was a 14(that's 80 in person years!) year old Tortoiseshell cat who lived at the Chautauqua County Humane Society. Funnyface was one of many senior animals who are in shelters worldwide. this page is dedicated to them.

Old man Gizmo is letting Ma type her own post tonight.

Hi everyone! GizMa here. Had what seemed to be a mundane moment that turned out to be a great reminder. Just wanted to share.

I was carrying Gadget down the hall after school when an 11th grader came walking by. Without breaking his stride, he gave Gadget a scritch on the head and said, "Thank you, Ms. Adams." I quickly responded, "You're welcome!" even though I had no idea what he was thanking me for. 🤔

On the way home, I remembered why he was thanking me. That morning he asked me to help him catch up in one of his classes during his study hall, which happens to be during my preparation time. He met with me and worked so hard, if he had been Charlie Brown, his tongue would have been sticking out. 🤣

Then the bell rang for class change, and the rest of the day happened. To me our morning help session had long since faded from my mind. I had forgotten all about it.

But to him, it meant enough to remember at the end of a long day and pause to acknowledge the space and help that were provided for him.

What a stunning reminder that we all make a difference, even with the smallest acts of kindness.

Oh and btw amiright when I say his mom clearly does a great job teaching her son?

Think I'll call her and acknowledge that...just in case she forgets sometimes...at the end of a long day. Happens to all of us. 🙃
