The annual CCA Walk-A-Thon pledges have started. This year we have some exciting prizes for our students. If you know a CCA student please consider sponsoring them. The walk-a-thon will be held on Friday, September 16th.
Each student that raises $100 will have their name entered into a drawing to win one of the following great prizes below. For each additional $50 raised their name will be entered again.
Any student who raises $500 or more will be entered into a special drawing for a brand new 9th Generation iPad.
In addition, any student that raises $1500 or more will receive $500 off the cost of tuition.

This year was outstanding! But the following will be even greater!
To date (8/3/22), we have exceeded our enrollment projections for the 22-23 school year by more than 20% AND expect to keep the momentum into end of August.
Two new positions have been created and filled by wonderful and highly qualified staff members.
There has been a dynamic shift in education throughout the past few years. It is not hard to see.
Chautauqua Christian Academy has experienced tremendous growth as parents seek an alternative to public schools.
Parents are excited about the Christian based values, principles and character development that CCA provides. Our student-centered approach and small class sizes have allowed our teachers to provide more one-on-one attention.

Chautauqua Christian Academy (CCA ) is a private K-12 Christian school that strives for academic excellence in preparing students for college and careers. Chautauqua Christian Academy was formerly Bethel Baptist Christian Academy (BBCA), which began in 1976 as a commitment by Bethel Baptist Church to provide families in the Chautauqua County area with a school offering a quality Christian educatio

n. BBCA opened its doors in 1976 with 14 students in grades K through 3. A grade was added each year, culminating with the addition of Grade 12 in 1985. Chautauqua Christian Academy is now independent from Bethel Baptist Church and has been reorganized into a Christ-centered, parent-led, community ministry. The CCA school board will be representative of the parents and families from local Bible-believing, Christ-honoring, evangelical churches in our community. Chautauqua Christian Academy is registered with New York State as a private, Christian school, as was BBCA. The 2021-2022 school year will be the first year of operation for CCA. CCA offers a full-size gymnasium with facilities and outdoor athletic fields. The educational program of any Christian school is of primary concern to families. CCA has an on-going commitment to provide a curriculum that is God-centered and academically challenging. All classes are taught in a traditional classroom setting using curriculum from primarily Bob Jones University, Purposeful Design, and Abeka. Students annually take achievement tests to measure their accomplishments during the year and to provide the school with a measure of the quality of the instructional program. CCA firmly presents that all truth belongs to God. Students are encouraged to know the regenerating power of Christ individually and to allow the leading of the Holy Spirit in their lives, they are able to acquire true knowledge. Developing a Christian mindset and perspective is the principle goal of the entire instructional program. The academic program is enhanced by a wide range of special activities. Supplemental academic help may be available to students through a variety of avenues. Special classes for various grades include foreign language, computer, library, gym, yearbook, music, choir, and art. Our High School Bible classes also do community service projects throughout the year. This list is improved each year according to the abilities present in the staff. During the year there are field trips, special assemblies, “School Spirit” days, interscholastic sports including volleyball, soccer, and basketball. Each of these special items supplement the classroom experience at CCA. The Administration, teachers, and staff of CCA are all born-again believers. Most of all, each staff member sees their occupation as ministry to young people. The staff seeks to make a positive impact for Christ as they encounter students during the school day, at school activities and in their various local churches and community. All full-time staff members are required to have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university. Many teachers hold advanced college degrees and are certified (or certifiable) by various state and national educational associations. A definite strength of the CCA program is small class size. This allows the teachers to go beyond basic education and encourage students in areas of special interest and to influence the students spiritually, socially, and emotionally.

Many of our elementary students showed up today in ties and vests which caught my attention. Later in the morning I learned that today is Principal Appreciation Day and that the kids were purposely dressing like me. I am very humbled by the kindness that our students and faculty have shown me. It's FRY-DAY.....and the kids are hungry for learning.

We are so proud of our little worker bees and their wonderful teacher Mrs. Oakes, who sets aside a special time for her students at the end of each marking period to celebrate their accomplishments and give them an opportunity to catch up on any assignments they’ve missed. Mrs. Oakes began “Catch-Up Fry-Day” this year and this French Fry party has become one of their favorite classroom traditions!

Our kindergartners are so proud of their Leprechaun traps. Whether or not they are lucky enough to catch a Leprechaun they definitely caught a love for learning through activities that include: coin recognition/counting, presenting using descriptive words, critical thinking and creative expression. Last week this young man (pictured with Mr. Stutzman, k-12 Principal) without any prompting approached a new family that was taking a tour of the school and greeted them with a handshake and a welcome. I wish that we captured the expression on the face of our guests....it was priceless.

Our Story

BBCA exists as a commitment by Bethel Baptist Church to provide families in the Chautauqua County area with a school offering a quality Christian education. This idea came to life in 1976 when BBCA opened its doors with 14 students in grades K through 3. A grade was added each year, culminating with the addition of Grade 12 in 1985.

The school has seen God’s continued provision and blessing over the years. BBCA offers a full-size gymnasium with facilities and outdoor athletic fields.

The school serves families in Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties from New York and Warren County in Pennsylvania. BBCA is also working with international students who are hosted by local families.

As a direct ministry of Bethel Baptist Church, the academy is directed by a committee that consists of church members. This school committee is then directly responsible to the deacon board of the church.

The educational program of any Christian school is of primary concern to families. BBCA has an on-going commitment to provide a curriculum that is God-centered and academically challenging. All classes are taught in a traditional classroom setting using curriculum from primarily Bob Jones University, Association of Christian Schools International, and Abeka. Students annually take achievement tests to measure their accomplishments during the year and to provide the school with a measure of the quality of the instructional program.
