🍄 What an amazing kickoff to First Friday! 🍂✨

Huge thanks to Rej Butzer for an inspiring talk on mycology and a community science project underway, called MycoBlitz. We learned how a mushroom's scent can help with ID, how DNA sequencing helps discover new species, and Rej shared their favorite mushroom, delightfully named the Dingy Twiglet!

We followed it up with a trail walk, but you can still join the fun—MycoBlitz runs through October 12 on iNaturalist! 📱🍄
