We are incredibly proud of our second-year OTA student, Tori, who serves as Vice President of Phi Theta Kappa, for proudly inducting freshman OTA students Hannah and Alyssa during this year’s PTK Induction Ceremony.

Moments like these reflect the heart of our OTA program — students leading, supporting, and inspiring one another every step of the way. Congratulations to Hannah, Alyssa, and all of the newest PTK inductees! 🎓✨

Jamestown Community College Jayhawk's Explore & Soar OT Clinic is developing community-based training opportunities for providers in Chautauqua County (and beyond) who serve children and their families!

We want to hear from:
Pediatricians, Educators, Paraprofessionals, Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC), Physical Therapy Practitioners, Occupational Therapy Practitioners, Speech & Language Pathologists, and other community providers offering youth & family programs.

The input you provide will help guide training topics, training schedule and determine needs within the community of practitioners serving families in our county.
This survey takes 5-10 minutes.

Exploring the world of non-traditional Occupational Therapy settings! 🌟 OTAs have the opportunity to work in innovative environments like driver rehabilitation, helping individuals regain the skills and confidence to drive safely after an injury or medical condition. Another exciting area is animal-assisted therapy, where you work with trained animals to support patients in physical, emotional, and cognitive recovery. You might also find yourself in adaptive sports programs, helping individuals get back into the game after an injury, or aquatic therapy, using water’s properties to improve strength and mobility. Additionally, OTAs can specialize as seating and mobility specialists, helping patients with complex seating and wheelchair needs to enhance comfort and independence. These non-traditional settings provide new, engaging ways to make therapy fun, functional, and impactful!
