A little introduction, both personally and professionally. đź’›
I’m Dr. Jennifer Dupont Frechette, a licensed pediatric psychologist in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, a researcher, and a mom of four.
Over the past 10+ years, I’ve had the privilege of working with children and families across schools, hospitals, research settings, and private practice. Much of my work has focused on learning disabilities and learning differences—helping children and families understand how they learn, where they may be struggling, and what they need to be successful.
I’ve also worked with children navigating attention, anxiety, autism, mood, behavioral, and social challenges, often when these concerns overlap with learning.
But the heart of why I do this work is simple:
I want to help your child feel truly understood.
When we understand why a child is struggling, we can stop asking them to simply “try harder” and start identifying their strengths, understanding what is getting in their way, and advocating for the support they actually need.
A neuropsychological evaluation isn’t just about a diagnosis. It’s about creating a clearer roadmap forward—for your child, your family, and the people supporting them at school and beyond. 🧠💛
If you’ve been wondering, “Why is this so hard for my child?” or “What can we do differently?”, I’d love to help.
