We're excited for our first NKJN Teen Adventure Club program with Angevine Middle School this Saturday at Waneka Lake Park! We hope you can join us for this family friendly event from 10am - 2pm! Lunch is provided!

10:00am families meet at Waneka Lake
10:30-11:30 Ice Breaker & Team Building Games
11:30-12:00 Lunch (provided) and talking about the Teen Adventure Program and registration
12:00-1:30 Boating & Paddling Skills
1:30-2:00: Park Clean-Up/Community Service
2:00: Depart

We had a lot of fun yesterday! We went to the Butterfly Pavilion and had a private class about biodiversity, we "thought" like scientists do, we observed, we analyzed data, created hypothesis made a timeline for our future study and created a budget. After this incredible class, we toured the Pavilion. We visited "Rose the tarantula", saw several exhibits and enjoyed the hands-on setup. We then, eat lunch at Waneka, cleaned up the park pretty well and played a game. It was an absolutely awesome trip!

The Nature Kids - Jóvenes de la Naturaleza NKJN Teen Adventure Club had a blast yesterday at Eldorado Canyon State Park!
We hiked, found out how to become a park ranger, and we learned the seven principles of "leave no trace." We also ate some great food and enjoyed the beautiful vistas.
Thank you parents, and thank you, students, for your interest in nature and for you exemplary behavior! We can't wait for the next trip!

Trip 2 photos: Wildlife Biology at Cal-Wood! Students met animals from the Denver Zoo, tracked wildlife like professionals using radio telemetry, and hiked around Cal-Wood's 1200 acre property! What a great way to spend a teacher planning day- thanks to all that attended! We hope to see you on our next adventure (Friday October 13th @ Eldorado Canyon State Park!)

PARENTS- thank you so much for your support and interest in the Teen Adventure Club! We are so excited about this amazing opportunity for Angevine Middle School Students.

Right now we have reached our limit of 19 students for Trip 2 to Cal-Wood on Monday the 18th. You are welcome to put your student's information on the wait list and if anything changes we will contact you by Sunday the 17th to see if your student is able to attend. Otherwise, please feel free to sign your student up for any of our future trips!

We had such a blast on our intro trip at Waneka Lake! We had a great turnout of 25 students! We hope you'll join us on our next adventure: Trip 2 is September 18th at Cal-Wood Education Center 9am-4pm pickup and drop off at Angevine Middle
