🍎 Be a Teacher Day! 🍎

Today our Child Care students celebrated FCCLA’s Be a Teacher Day, a day to recognize the impact teachers make and encourage students to consider careers in education.

Along with a snack, we reflected on the qualities we admire in great teachers and the lessons they’ve taught us beyond academics. Students also wrote notes and delivered a sweet treat to teachers who have made an impact on them. ❤️

It was a great reminder that a teacher’s influence reaches far beyond the classroom—and we can’t wait to see our students put those same qualities into practice with our PlaySchool kiddos soon! 💙

A huge thank you to Trent Hillerud for meeting with our construction class recently!

Mr. Hillerud sat down with our students to discuss the exact requirements needed to order supplies and kick off the interior build of our new construction technology building. Best of all, Mr. Hillerud will be assisting us throughout the entire build process!

We are thrilled to announce LeGrand Miller as our September Student of the Month!

LeGrand truly went above and beyond this past month, volunteering to help our students with the Fall Festival/Pumpkin Walk. While students were asked to stay until 8:30 PM, LeGrand generously volunteered to stay right until the very end of clean-up at 11:30 PM.

Not only was he an incredible role model to both our younger kids and high school students, but he also showed fantastic leadership and organizational skills by coming up with clever plans to keep things running efficiently.

Thank you for your incredible work ethic, dedication, and leadership, LeGrand. Congratulations on a well-deserved recognition!

Recent delicious projects include:

🍅 Homemade Salsa with donated tomatoes from Ms. Olson

🥧 Quiche Lorraine using fresh eggs donated by Mr. Marinkovits

🍓 Angel Food Berry Trifles with homemade cake and whipped cream cheese filling

🧁 Homemade Muffins in banana, chocolate chip, and raspberry

🍌 Fruit & Yogurt Parfaits focusing on healthy choices and presentation

These labs help students practice measuring, baking, food safety, teamwork, and time management. A huge thank you to our community and staff for their generous donations! 💙💛
