🐄 Fletcher Elementary School kindergarteners recently had a special visitor when they had the opportunity to meet a calf thanks to H.E.R.D. WNY!

Students learned about how to safely pet a calf, caring for animals, life on the farm, and the important role agriculture plays in our community. A special thank you to H.E.R.D. WNY for sharing this hands-on educational experience with our students!

This week's Freddy Falcon comes from Mrs. Rhinehart's class. I would like to proudly nominate Oliver Schnars for the Freddy Falcon Award. Oliver has worked incredibly hard throughout the school year and has truly shown—alongside his classmates—that he has earned this honor. He has faced many challenges this year, yet he has continued to persevere with determination and resilience. Oliver comes to school with a positive attitude, enjoys participating in class, and is always eager to give his best. He is also a fantastic athlete and a wonderful example of perseverance and school spirit. Way to go Oliver!

Today, we recognize and celebrate Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States.

In observance, all Jamestown Public Schools buildings will be closed on Friday, June 19. We look forward to welcoming students and staff back on Monday, June 22.

Last night, students celebrated🎉 the school year at Freddy's Fun Fair. 276 past, present, and future students along with their families showed up to celebrate.

Students enjoyed carnival games🎯, a dunk tank💦, popcorn or snow cones🍧, and music🎸 provided by local musician Bill Ward!

Thank you to all of those who came and enjoyed!
