Last Thursday, we proudly celebrated the official opening of the cricket field at Idlewild Park with a wonderful ribbon-cutting ceremony! Community leaders, elected officials, NYC DDC, and NYC Parks came together on a beautiful sunny day to mark this exciting milestone.

A special highlight was the powerful speech by our very own Barbara Brown, chairperson of Eastern Queens Alliance, who has been a tireless advocate for our community. Her passion and vision continue to inspire us all!

This project represents progress, partnership, and pride in Eastern Queens. Here’s to more great things ahead for our neighborhood! 🌳💚

Last Saturday was filled with color, creativity, and big smiles at our Sip n Style Tote Bag decorating event! 🎨🖌

From bright trees and apples to a cute assortment of pets, our community of artists poured their imaginations onto tote bags and canvases. It was so inspiring to watch everyone express themselves through art while connecting with each other.

A huge thank you to all the families who joined us and to our amazing facilitators who made the day so special! ✨💙

Participants will write environmental articles, help design a digital newsletter, and build skills that can strengthen future college resumes, portfolios & applications.

Eastern Queens Alliance Inc. Presents: The Fourth Friday Film Festival 🎞️✨

We invite you to join us on Friday, May 22nd for a special screening of A Rising Tide.

This documentary offers a profound look at the "how" and "why" behind homelessness. While the film is set in California, its message is deeply relevant to us in Southeast Queens, where many families continue to face housing instability.

This screening is held in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month. We recognize that a safe place to call home is the foundation for mental and emotional health. Understanding the systemic issues that cause homelessness is the first step toward healing and advocating for our local community.
