🌈 Sensory Open Play Pop-Up🚀
📍Where: Supermoon Satellite Space (down the block from the play school)
📅 When: Wednesday April 8th, 2026
1st session: 10am - 11am
2nd session: 11am - 12 noon
💳 Cost: $20 per kiddo - Sibling discount available. Pay via Venmo or cash at time of class
💌RSVP: Message or email: [email protected]
👋 Hi Friends, I thought it was time to do another Sensory Open Play. If you’ve joined me before this is in the original space down from the play school, it’s smaller so I went with 2 x hour long sessions for this play, and you can choose the time slot that’s best for you. Space is limited so I’d love RSVPs. It’s also Spring Break for the big kids and if you have an older sibling joining, just let me know their age so I can squeeze in some age appropriate elements.
❤️ Most of my programming is free via the library and school systems but this is a paid program. If you’d like to come but the $ is hard, please email me.
✨ There’ll be lots of things to touch, squeeze, scoop and roll. Unlike a Science Baby class, this is a walk in a starting exploring environment which I hope is more flexible for your mornings. This is not a drop-off experience, a caregiver must be present however I do create these Open Plays to be engaging for both kids and grown ups, so I hope you get something out of it.
Let me know if you have any questions!

Hello friends…. Here’s what’s happening at libraries in April.
🐞Monday 4/6 & 4/13 - Maspeth Library 10:30am & 11:30am. These final 2 Science Baby classes will be ticketed. Mr Mark and team will hand out tickets when the library opens at 10am.
🐌 Wednesday 4/8 - Pop-up Sensory Open Play at Supermoon’s Satellite space at 753 Onderdonk Ave, Ridgewood, Queens. At this kid-led open play we skip the class format... just toddle in with a caregiver and explore. The room isn’t massive so I’ve broken the time up into 2 sessions: #1 come at 10am - 11am or #2 come at 11am -12 noon. $20 per kiddo with sibling discounts available. Ask me any questions and shoot me a message if you’d like to come.
🐝 Wednesday 4/22 - The Big Brooklyn Playdate at Brooklyn Central Library at the Dweck Center downstairs 10:30am - 12 noon. This is a free event and it’s absolutely brilliant. I have a little nook to do my thing but the entire space in turned into a ‘play-a-palooza’ for babies, toddlers and littles by the legends at Youth and Family Services at BPL. Games, activities, story times and more. Make the trip, you won’t regret it.
🪲AND on Wednesday afternoon 4/22 - Science Baby class at North Forest Park Library at 3:30pm.
🦋 Friday 4/24 - Science Baby class at Ridgewood Library at 11am. This class is ticketed. The wonderful librarians hand out tickets when the library opens at 10am. Ms. Chloe does a story time at 10:30am.
🪲Wednesday 4/29 - Science Baby class at North Forest Park Library at 3:30pm.
🚍When I’m not at libraries this month I’m doing creative STEM residencies at schools for 3K and up. If you’re curious how a class like mine translates to a classroom setting, I’d LOVE to tell you.
🚀 The other thing that’s not on the calendar but a big part of my early April is checking in on the crew of Artemis II through out my day. Anyone else do this?
🌖 The crocus’ are up, blossoms are thinking about it and 4 humans are on their way around the moon. It’s a wonder-full month! 🌈
Keep exploring,

No science Baby today Monday 11/17 at Maspeth Library - my kiddo is sick. Apologies for any inconvenience friends. See you on Friday at Ridgewood or next month at Maspeth.
To the parents and caregivers who…
☕️ have reheated their coffee 4 times today
⏰ set an alarm and napped for 8 mins
🧻 pretended to use the bathroom to get a second
🎒carried all the bags
🦄 did any amount of imaginary play
🥪 ate standing up over the sink
… and do much more!! You are doing great!
🌈 I make playdough fresh each class and send it home with families afterwards. Next time you come, if your kiddo is into it, take some home. It may give you a moment to drink that coffee.
Next class is Friday 10/17 at Bushwick Branch at 11am. We’ll be exploring the STEM in wheels 🛞 hope to see you there 🌈

🌈Late but great! Here’s the October Library Line up!
🍁Mondays: Maspeth at 10:30am (beginning 10/20 we’ll be capping the size, so come a bit before and get a ticket. No class on 10/13 - Indigenous People’s Day
🍎Friday Oct 3, 10, 17 & 24: Bushwick at 11am. So far this program hasn’t needed tickets. I’ll keep you posted.
🎃Friday 10/31: Ridgewood at 11am. This program is ticketed. Come when the library opens, grab a ticket, stay for Ms. Chloe’s Story Time at 10:30am and then come along to Science Baby. It’s Halloween so costumes are absolutely welcome.
🍂✨This October I’m learning from the magic of changing leaves and how less light actually exposes color and beauty we’d forgotten was there.
Let’s lean into community and explore together.

Let’s DISCO-ver! 🪩 Thursdays this September I’m at Queens Central Library at the Children’s Library Discovery Center.
Thursday 9/4, 9/11, 9/28 & 9/25 at 10:30am
This children’s library is gorgeous, the staff are wonderful and there’s so much to explore. The CLDC also has a terrific Saturday Science Lab program for kids 6-11 years. Put it on your library bucket list!

Unlike a Science Baby class that has structure, Open Plays are created to be more flexible. Walk in and start exploring! Somedays an hour is just enough time and other days, especially with the weather so hot, it’s not enough. So... *drum roll* Rolling Admission! Come for your hour between 10am and 12 noon ($20 per kiddo) and if you’d like to stay, every 30 mins is $5. Sibling discounts available. You can decide all of this in real time and pay at class. Cash or Venmo. I’ll be bringing out new and different elements, experiments and art projects during the 2 hours.
I cannot express enough how relaxed this is, you have enough on your plate... this is chill. Come into the cool, explore and leave when you feel ready. RSVPs soothe my ego so I don’t feel like I’m throwing a party for no one, but not crucial.
Tuesdays 10am - 12noon
753 Onderdonk Ave (corner room)
Any questions just ask!
