Today, I’m sending my last—but certainly not least—Whirlybird off to kindergarten. ❤️
This Whirlybird has been such a sweet joy. She always looks for the positive and encourages her friends. She has big feelings—and an equally big heart with so much love to give.
She is excited about everything, notices every little detail, and is always saying, “This is so beautiful, Miss Amie. Thank you so much!”
She slowly overcame her fear of bugs and now carefully carries worms and slugs to the garden beds so they can meet up with their little families assuring them they will be okay. 🥹
At rest time, she holds one-woman shows on her mat, retelling our circle-time stories—complete with all the voices—to an audience of stuffed animals.
And often, she’ll sit beside me and tell the other children that she just wants to talk to Miss Amie for a bit. Then she’ll turn to me and ask how my day is going. ❤️
Oh, this is such a bittersweet goodbye! But I have her siblings to keep me going, and I know I’ll hear about all her wonderful adventures very soon.
Once a Whirlybird, always a Whirlybird.
