Be Transformed in the Presence of Christ.

The most important principle for all Christian leadership is to lead out of spiritual transformation. This transformation happens as we spend quality time in the presences of Jesus. We must first intentionally seek the presence of Jesus through the Holy Spirit.

“We can ignore, but we can nowhere evade, the presence of God. The world is crowded with Him. He walks everywhere incognito.”

“Practicing the presence is an invitation to see and experience every moment as a gift of God. It is to live alive to union with the Trinity. This practice must become habitual in the life of every believer, and it must include:

* seeking to see others through the eyes of God
* stopping throughout the day to listen to God
* carrying or placing symbols in your office and home that remind you of God’s presence
* praying God's Word and confessing it over your life

God who walks with us, sometimes incognito and sometimes so powerfully and clearly, we long for more of your presence. Help us nurture habits and practices that enable us to perceive you crowding this world we live in. We also long for the fruits of your presence. Open our ears and eyes to your Triune presence, and bring us the blessings of being with you. Help us to pray in order to feel near to you, and help us, when we feel near to you, to turn to you in prayer.

Every time you forget that character is one of God’s purposes for your life, you will become frustrated by your circumstances. You’ll wonder, Why is this happening to me? Why am I having such a difficult time?

One answer is that life is supposed to be difficult! It’s what enables us to grow. Remember, earth is not heaven! Many Christians misinterpret Jesus’ promise of the “abundant life” (John 10:10) to mean perfect health, a comfortable lifestyle, constant happiness, full realization of your dreams, and instant relief from problems through faith and prayer. In a word, they expect the Christian life to be easy. They expect heaven on earth.

This self-absorbed perspective treats God as a genie who simply exists to serve you in your selfish pursuit of personal fulfillment. But God is not your servant, and if you fall for the idea that life is supposed to be easy, either you will become severely disillusioned or you will live in denial of reality.

Never forget that life is not about you! You exist for God’s purposes, not vice versa.

God wants His children to bear His image and likeness, too. The Bible says,

You were… created to be like God, truly righteous and holy. — Ephesians 4:24

Let me be absolutely clear: You will never become God, or even a god. That prideful lie is Satan’s oldest temptation. Satan promised Adam and Eve that if they followed his advice, “ye shall be as gods” (Genesis 3:5).

Many religions and New Age philosophies still promote this old lie that we are divine or can become gods. This desire to be a god shows up every time we try to control our circumstances, our future, and people around us. But as creatures, we will never be the Creator.

God doesn’t want you to become a god; He wants you to become godly – taking on His values, attitudes, and character. The Bible says,

Take on an entirely new way of life – a God-fashioned life, a life renewed from the inside and working itself into your conduct as God accurately reproduces His character in you. – Ephesians 4:22-24

God wants you to grow up spiritually and become like Christ. Becoming like Christ does not mean losing your personality or becoming a mindless clone. God created your uniqueness, so He certainly doesn’t want to destroy it. Christlikeness is all about transforming your character, not your personality.

Remember you were created in the "image" of God, and God is a spirit.... Now He wants to develop you into His "likeness".

Spiritual Maturity:

Remember you cannot control their actions, but you can control your response. How you respond is a key indicator of the level of your spiritual growth and spiritual maturity.

I need you all to SWYD and help me wish my father a Happy 93rd Birthday. God has bless the "Proctor family" with long life and a GREAT example of a man who truly loves God and His family. He is the BEST father in the world.

My life, spiritual relationship, marriage, and ministry is the better as a result of what he modeled in front of me!!! Thank you Lord for loving me enough to give me him as a pattern to follow and emulate.

Greetings,

May the Lord fulfill every dream and every vision He has given you. I rebuke fear, procrastination, self sabotaging thoughts, and out side interferences from hindering you from achieving your goals. You are the Captain of your fate, and the co-pilot of your destiny. Every resource is available to you "NOW". I release every man and woman, that God has ordered to help you prosper. This is the year of Divine Alignment, and Fulfillment.

Intentionality will be the pathway and platform for your fulfillment. Become comfortable with being uncomfortable in this new year and season, for the Lord is bringing you into unfamiliar territory, business deals, investment opportunities, relational opportunities, spiritual advancement, and God orchestrated relationships. No that it is okay to be uncomfortable until you become comfortable in this new year. Remember anything that God have you do publicly, will be praised and criticized. Look past the criticism and know that He is praising and elevating you.

This will be a year like no other. In order to embrace the new, you must believe that it is okay to challenge the known. The known will either hinder you, or challenge you to embrace the unknown. Reset your mind to welcome the new, and leave the old behind. God is doing a new thing "in you" and "for you", so that He can get the glory out of you.

Expect the new, welcome the new, embrace the new, and leave the old alone. For eyes have not seen, nor ears heard, the things that God has prepared (made ready) for you this year. Get rid of stinking thinking, old habits, and know that you are made new!!!

Be intentional, be intentional, be intentional and see the fulfillment of your heart desires according to God's plan for your life.

Attention Kingdom Leaders,

In these ever changing times our message must remain the same, but our methodology must change with the times. Many sections of the bible teach that God is a God of freshness and change. "And no one purs new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the new wine will burst the skins, the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, new wine must be poured into new wineskins" (Lunke 5:37-38). New "wineskins" are essential, not optional, if you intend to communicate the gospel to this generation.

Learn and stand firm on biblically based principles and core values, but keep learning new methods to effectively communicate these to your culture.

Some things never change. Some things always do. And some things need to change.

Remember " The thinking and methodology that got you to where you are today will not take you to where you need to be tomorrow". It is important for you to notice what is no longer working and to find a new breakthrough.

Culture keeps changing, and we must know and respond to those changes, or our churches will turn into an old relic that lacks relevance or influence.

My wife would ask:

Has your church became your mother or parents church?

Meaning has your routine (program, song selection, order of service, sanctuary decor, teaching/preaching style and thinking) became your tradition.

Are you asking God to do the new in your ministry, but keep preventing Him with your way of thinking and methodology?

New wine is essential, NEVER optional. Wine is symbolic of the Anointing, joy, and it expresses the abundant blessing God provides. In the ancient Near East, with its scarcity of water, wine was a necessity rather than a luxury, so it came to symbolize sustenance and life.

Does your church have sustenance and life?

Attention Kingdom Leaders,

Ministry Is Never A Matter of Convenience!!!

When our hearts fall for the idol of convenience, the call of Jesus to follow him in shouldering a cross feels foreign. The one who saves us quietly mutates into a threat to our counterfeit sanctuaries of advantage. When our security is the warm comfort of secular convenience, we will keep hitting the snooze button on Jesus’s alarming command to take up our cross.

Yet the temptation of convenience remains. Fighting the good fight is a lot harder than streaming the football game, Season 3 of Ready to Love, Married At First Sight, etc... date night. Again. When following comfort trumps following Jesus, it is time to examine what we are worshiping. Just as with his disciples, Christ calls us to stop collecting taxes and mending our fishing nets to follow him. The question before us every day is, Will we follow him like the disciples (Matthew 4:18–22) or return to our conveniences like the rich young ruler (Mark 10:17–27)?

We must always be ready to minister to those in need around us. Our ministry isn’t limited to Sunday service within the four walls of the church building. “Doing what is good… to save a life” is what the law of God’s grace calls us to do. Sometimes we’ll have to go out of our way. Sometimes people will think we’re doing too much and won’t like it. Regardless, Jesus’ example and His Word call us to action when we are faced with an opportunity to minister by extending God’s love toward others.

“So it is a sin for the person who knows to do what is good and doesn’t do it.” – James 4:17, HCSB

We can’t let our own schedules, preferences or mood hold us back from the ministry God has called us to. What, then, would separate us from the Pharisees? How, then, would we give an account to God for the opportunities we intentionally passed over?

Lord, help me and my co-laborers to see past ourselves. Teach us how to be in the moment and not miss opportunities to minister to the people you place in our path on a daily basis. Thank you for extending your grace to forgive us for the opportunities we’ve missed and to trust us to get it right next time. Amen
