We wrapped up the final days of the academy with incredible masterclasses led by Natalie Hoe and Julian Bliss, student recitals, and our closing award ceremony. We hope everyone had a fantastic time here in Jacksonville, FL!

Yesterday, our Summer Clarinet Academy students spent the day at the Buffet Crampon USA headquarters in Jacksonville for an inside look at our home base! It was a day filled with learning, hands-on exploration, and a chance to relax, connect, and experience the full Buffet Crampon USA family.

Students toured our headquarters, explored a wide range of products, and had the opportunity to try instruments and accessories throughout the day. A big thank you to David Gould for his presentation on Vandoren, Jimmy Merchant for his presentation on BG France, and to Jessica Bell for sharing her knowledge of Buffet Crampon products and helping students discover what makes each instrument unique.

The 2026 BCUSA Summer Clarinet Academy is officially underway!

Students kicked things off with their first Instrument Technology class led by Woodwind Market Specialist & Technician Jessica Bell, where they learned how to safely disassemble a clarinet and explored the purpose of each part of the instrument. 🔧🎶

The learning continued with an inspiring masterclass from faculty artist Cecilia Kang before everyone wrapped up the evening with a little friendly competition at the bowling alley. 🎳

A great start to a week full of learning, music, and new friendships. Stay tuned for more highlights from the academy!
