Between morning walks by the water, weekend hikes, and time with friends, ideas have a way of surfacing. Capture those thoughts as they come up! Few notes now can bring clarity as you prepare applications, cover letters, and decisions about your next step.

Most professionals don't need to practice law — they need to understand it. The MSL is a graduate program built for professionals in finance, healthcare, eldercare, and estate planning who navigate legal and regulatory environments every day.

You'll learn to understand how laws and policies shape decisions, collaborate more effectively with legal teams, and step into a stronger role within your organization.

It's practical, relevant, and designed for professionals who are ready to lead more effectively in regulated industries.

Applications for Fall 2026 are due August 3. Apply online: https://jax.ufl.edu/programs/law/

When you're applying to grad school, asking for a letter of recommendation can feel like one of the hardest parts the application process. A strong place to start is choosing someone who knows how you work (not just what you do) — this can apply to how you show up at work or in the classroom. This can be a supervisor, mentor, professor, or colleague who can speak to your fit for where you're applying.

Reach out early and give them a headstart by reminding them how you've worked together. Let them know where you’re applying and why, and what you hope to gain from your experience. This information can help them advocate for your next step thoughtfully and specifically, helping you build your case in your application.
