Great News! Our information sessions have been scheduled for the upcoming Fall 2026 & Spring 2027 Terms!

Yes, these information sessions will take place for FALL and SPRING terms. We will not be doing any more this year.

Great News! Our Informational Session dates have been scheduled for the July 2026 Firefighter I/II Classes!

This is for people that will already HAVE their EMT by the time the informational session happens. If you WILL NOT have your EMT by then, please do not sign up for this. If you have already signed up and you should not have, then please remove yourself from the sign up.

Our "B" Shift Paramedic information session has been officially scheduled for Tuesday, February 03, 2026 at 10:00AM. Classes will begin on April 22, 2026. Since this is a B shift class, that means you will be here on all B shift days, except weekends.

You must already have your NREMT/State of Florida EMT license to attend this class.

Every single one of our firefighter minimum standards students went to UNF today to walk the stadium stairs that JFRD’s Eng. Thornton arranged. Thank you for that! Our students were tired but they enjoyed being able to do it!

We are so proud of each and every one of you that participated in memory of all the firefighters that selflessly lost their lives in the 9/11 terror attacks.

Our EMT information sessions are now scheduled for the January 2026 classes!

This time, we will be holding 3 separate sessions. September 30th at 5:00pm & 6:30pm and October 1st at 5:00pm. They will be held here at the Fire Academy of the South, 2700 Firefighter Memorial Dr, Jacksonville, 32246.
