Attention Parents,
Even without Duval making a decision, One Heart decided to close tomorrow January 22nd. As long as we have power and the roads are safe, we will reopen on Thursday the 23rd. Be safe and stay warm!
One Heart will be open tomorrow from 6:30am-3:30pm to ensure the safety of our families and staff, providing them with sufficient time to return home before road conditions become hazardous. Duval County Public Schools have yet to announce their decision regarding Wednesday, and we will keep you informed as updates become available.
Attention Parents, We anticipate an announcement from Duval County Public Schools this afternoon regarding potential school closures due to inclement weather. The forecast suggests a risk of black ice, and we are committed to ensuring the safety of our families and staff by minimizing unnecessary travel during hazardous driving conditions. Please monitor this page and Class Dojo for updates as soon as a decision is made.
We would like to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to all of our families at One Heart. Thank you for being a valued part of our family and ministry! As a reminder, we will be closing at 2 pm on Wednesday and will remain closed until Monday, December 2nd. We wish you a happy and relaxing Thanksgiving!
Good morning parents,
Considering the unpredictable nature of Major Hurricane Milton path and Friday morning's potential road conditions, we have decided to remain closed Friday.
The uncertainty surrounding the storm's impact on roads, including flooding and debris, compromises staff and family safety.
We are praying for our families and staff; please be prepared for power outages and possible flash flooding for our area.
We regret any inconvenience this causes our families but safety will remain our top priority.
We plan to reopen on Monday, provided our infrastructure, water, and power remain unaffected.

In response to the forecasted impact of Hurricane Milton, One Heart will temporarily shut down on Wednesday and Thursday, planning to resume operations on Friday, pending confirmation of no damage to infrastructure, power, or water services. We will post an update on this platform, as we get thru the worst of the storm and can see if we have power or damages. Duval county schools will remain closed on Friday due to being used as shelters.
We are praying for all of our families, teachers, and staff for a safe passage through the storm.
*******REVISION *******
Due to another teacher working in VPK becoming under the weather, we've decided to close down ALL VPK classes for the whole week. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but without our teachers feeling their best, we can't teach your children.
We will make up all days throughout the school year.
While we are trying to prevent the spread of germs, there are somethings out of our control once students come into contact with each other.
We've had multiple children go home sick at the end of last week and we now have staff that aren't feeling well so please monitor for symptoms over the next few days.
We will reopen the following Monday as we want to give everyone a chance to rest and recover and thoroughly clean the classrooms.
As a reminder, if your child is showing any symptoms of covid or any other viruses, please keep them home.
**Thank you for your understanding and patience. Please pray for all staff and children who are under the weather.
