Northside LOVE Arts & Vendors Market stands for Lifting Our Various Enterprises. This acronym was coined by a northside community stakeholder and retired businessman. The vision for the event was developed when two active community members, (a business owner and a community activist) were discussing the need of more support for entrepreneurs and small business owners within the community, as well as more healthy food choices and information on healthy lifestyle choices. Small businesses are the lifeline of the community and without them, the areas often become blighted. This was the case for the Kings Road/Soutel Drive Corridor. It is the goal that the event will lead to improving and enhancing the quality of life for residents, by providing them with the services and products that they need and are beneficial to them, as well as promoting growth and exposure for businesses and organizations within the Jacksonville community that will provide the residents with those products.
