Haskell Public Policy Institute students and faculty represented Jacksonville University at the 2026 Future of Florida Summit, hosted by the Bob Graham Center at the University of Florida. This statewide, student-focused summit brings together emerging leaders from across Florida to engage with expert panelists, develop policy proposals, and deepen their understanding of pressing issues affecting the state. The Summit emphasizes interdisciplinary learning, professional development, and collaborative problem-solving.

Our Master in Public Policy (MPP) Classroom Speaker Series gives students the chance to learn directly from some of Florida’s most distinguished legal, policy, and community leaders. We’re grateful to Judge Mark Mahon and Former Mayor John Peyton for sharing their time and insights with our MPP students this semester.

On August 12th, we officially welcomed our newest MPP students at an orientation event in the Davis College of Business & Technology.

Students heard inspiring remarks from JU leadership, Institute Board members, faculty, current students, and alumni, setting the stage for an exciting year ahead.
