The Herbert W. Scheidel Leadership in Action Award was established in 2011 to provide students with outstanding community service with the opportunity to obtain a career certificate, associate or bachelor's degree. Each year this endowment grants one $5,000 and two $500 scholarships to students who demonstrate advocacy in their community.

Based on recent information from the National Weather Service and the threat of worsening weather conditions, all classes and activities on all FSCJ campuses and centers are canceled Thursday, November 10, including online classes. The College will remain closed on Friday, November 11 in observance of Veterans Day as already scheduled. Campuses and centers will reopen on Saturday, November 12 at regularly scheduled times.
Any changes to this plan will be communicated through the FSCJ Safe app, email, text messages, social media and our website.
