24 years ago, I opened the doors to The Innovative Learning Place with one big idea: that every child deserves a place where they can learn, laugh, and feel loved.
Today, that chapter comes to an end.
These 24 years have been nothing short of amazing. We’ve seen first steps and first words. We’ve seen kids who walked in shy walk out confident. We’ve celebrated birthdays, science fairs, graduations... and yes, we’ve cleaned up a lot of glitter too.
But the real magic of The Innovative Learning Place was never the building. It was the people.
It was the teachers who showed up early, stayed late, and poured their hearts into every lesson.
It was the parents who trusted us with their most precious gifts.
And it was the friends — so many friends — that we made along the way. The love in this room is what made us innovative.
To my team: thank you for 24 years of patience, creativity, and dedication. You turned a business into a family.
To our families: thank you for letting us be part of your children’s stories.
I’m retiring, but I’m not saying goodbye to the memories. I’m carrying all of you with me — every hug, every recital, every "aha!" moment.
The Innovative Learning Place may be closing, but the love and learning that started here will go on in every child and teacher who walked through our doors.
