🎻Little Strings, Big Mentors! 🎻

Our kindergarteners had an exciting day in Strings class as they were mentored by students from the Strings Pedagogy class at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts! 🎶❤️

Today’s focus was all about building a strong foundation—learning correct posture and how to properly stand and hold a violin. Our little musicians also reviewed the parts of the violin alongside their DA buddies! 🎻

We are SO excited to continue this special partnership with our feeder high school for the visual and performing arts throughout the school year. What an incredible opportunity for our youngest musicians to learn from students who are further along on the very same arts journey! 🌟

From tiny violinists to future DA artists… this is what arts education is all about! 🎶🎻❤️

🎨✨ PTA Reflections 2026–2027 is here! ✨🎨

This year’s theme is “What My Culture Means to Me” — giving students the opportunity to explore their creativity and express what culture means to them through the arts!

Students can participate in:
💃 Dance Choreography
🎬 Film Production
📚 Literature
🎵 Music Composition
📸 Photography
🎨 Visual Arts

Grade Divisions:
⭐ Primary: Pre-K–Grade 2
⭐ Intermediate: Grades 3–5
⭐ Accessible Arts: All Grades

📅 ENTRY DEADLINE: October 15, 2026

All entries must be an original creation by a single student based on this year’s theme.
