We held our September All Staff Meeting, where we took time to reflect on the past month, share feedback and ideas, celebrate our successes, and recognize the amazing people who make RCSA Innovation such a special place. Of course, we added a little sweetness to the day with some Sugar Rush inspired Wreck-It Ralph treats, generously donated by Burnettes Sugar Shack! We also took a moment to celebrate three of our teachers who tied the knot over the summer! Congratulations to Mrs. Wilkes (3rd Grade), Mrs. Veinberg (5th Grade), and Mrs. Tuckett (7th Grade)! Rockets of the Month for August!

Congratulations to our Rockets of the Month! These students were chosen by their homeroom teachers for going above and beyond in demonstrating August’s Character Trait of the Month. We are so proud of their hard work and positive example!

Each student will receive a special reward and if you look closely, you’ll also notice we’ve added new fence art to celebrate! Every month, we’ll showcase a new character trait—September’s Character Trait is Empathy.

We are so proud to share that our 7th Grade teacher, Mrs. Tuckett, has been selected as a recipient of the Gladys Roddenberry Graduate Fellowship for Teaching through the University of North Florida! This prestigious award is given to just 5 Duval County educators each year who demonstrate excellence and inspire their students.

Congratulations, Mrs. Tuckett! Your RCSA Innovation family is so proud of you and can’t wait to see all that you continue to accomplish.

Our staff got to “level up” their day with our first Rocket Cart! Inspired by Wreck It Ralph and Vanellope’s race car, the cart was stocked with candy, drinks, and chips for our amazing teachers and staff. This is separate from the students rocket cart.

Kindergarten Grayson and 2nd grader Jackson were surprised at school by their dad, who returned home from the Navy and joined their classes as a special guest speaker! What a special moment for these brothers and what an honor to welcome one of our military heroes back home!
