East Texas Golden Gloves: Montes, Villanueva, Gallegos earn wins for local boxing club Three of the four boxers that represented the Jacksonville Boxing Club at the 86th Annual East Texas Golden Gloves Tournament came home with victories.JBC’s Gerado Montes, Elizabeth Villanueva, and Penelope

What an incredible weekend for our boxing family! 🥊🔥 We had 4 of our fighters step into the ring at the Golden Gloves tournament in Longview and 3 out of 4 came home with victories!

We are beyond proud of every single one of them. It takes courage to step into that ring, discipline to train day after day, and heart to fight through every round. Win or lose, they represented with strength, respect, and determination. 💥🥊🏆

Practice today from 4:30 - 5:30 due to Christmas Parade‼️

Girls did great this weekend! Very proud of them! Fights could have gone either way but nevertheless they fought there hearts out ❤️🥊

Also prayers for Penelope! She showed up to fight, made weight, but unfortunately, the physician at the event had to scratch her bout due to running a high fever of 101.4! Penelope still begged to fight but her health and safety come first! Again! Just like all our other fighters safety/health comes first!

Thank you Joe Wright Elementary for inviting Coach Miguel to read to the students and share his experience as a boxing coach. He truly enjoyed spending time with the kids and was inspired by their curiosity and enthusiasm. Opportunities like this make such a difference, and he was honored to be part of this wonderful experience 💥🥊

Thank you for the prayers and support! The team came up short but that’s ok 👍🏽 back to the lab today to make some adjustments! But all and all they did great for there first fights! Takes guts to step into that ring! And that they have! Please continue to pray for the team as we prepare for next week show!
