Chets Creek Elementary School

There are few moments more special than hearing from former students as they reflect on where their journey began. 💙💛

Through DCPS’s second annual Gratitude in Ink program, several of our graduating seniors took time during the month of May to send heartfelt letters to their elementary school teachers, reflecting on memories, lessons learned, and the impact those teachers had on their lives. Their words were a beautiful reminder that the influence of a great teacher extends far beyond the classroom.

On Thursday, we proudly clapped out our amazing 5th graders as they walked the halls of Chets Creek Elementary one last time as students. We are so proud of all they have accomplished and cannot wait to see the incredible things they will do in middle school and beyond. Once a Creeker, Always a Creeker! 🦅

We also celebrated two very special members of our school family as they begin their well-earned retirement. Thank you, Mrs. Ellis (35 yrs) and Mrs. Chascin (26 yrs), for the countless lives you have touched, the love you have shared, and the difference you have made here at The Creek. Your impact will be felt for years to come. 💙💛

Congratulations to our 5th graders, and best wishes to Mrs. Ellis and Mrs. Chascin as they begin this exciting new chapter! We love you!

A huge thank you to Friends of Chets Creek Elementary and Chets Creek Church for hosting such a special evening for our students and families.

We are so proud of these students and all they have accomplished. Tomorrow will be a bittersweet day as we clap them out and cheer them on to middle school! 🦅👏

On Friday, our 5th graders celebrated Fifth Grade Day! 💙💛

The day was filled with special moments and lots of laughter as students enjoyed breakfast and yearbook signing with friends and teachers, a glow dance party, leaving their handprints on the spirit rock, lunch with their final read aloud from Principal Phillips, and an unforgettable OMC celebration! 🎉🖐️✨

Today, we celebrated 85 Creekers who are graduating seniors from Duval County high schools as they walked the halls of their beloved elementary school one more time. 🎓💙

We are so proud of all their accomplishments! . We know that no matter what they do or where they go from here, they will change the world!
