We are incredibly proud to welcome back Dr. Tiffany Hollis, who was a featured presenter at our very first inaugural symposium back in 2016!

Over the past 10 years, Dr. Hollis has continued to pour into our community, share her expertise, and be part of the journey toward greater awareness, access, and healing in Black mental health.

Join Valeea Sutton for her session “Stuck in Survival Mode: Understanding the Neurobiology of Trauma and Pathways to Healing in Black Communities. ” This powerful presentation will explore the neurobiological effects of trauma, chronic stress, and adversity within Black communities. Meet our presenter, Tyronisha Williams!

Join Tyronisha at the 10th Annual Black Mental Health Symposium as she presents her session, "From trauma to incarceration: Examining Unresolved Childhood Experiences Among Black Men in The Criminal Justice System."

She will present on how trauma is universal, but for many Black men, vulnerability has never felt like an optio and includes abandonment, adultification, community violence, loss of innocence and generations of pain carried in silence. In safe spaces, men are beginning to recognize that what they survived was trauma—and that healing requires the freedom to speak about it.
Strength isn't hiding the pain. Strength is having the courage to face it.
It’s time to take off the mask.
