Meet our presenter, Tyronisha Williams!

Join Tyronisha at the 10th Annual Black Mental Health Symposium as she presents her session, "From trauma to incarceration: Examining Unresolved Childhood Experiences Among Black Men in The Criminal Justice System."

She will present on how trauma is universal, but for many Black men, vulnerability has never felt like an optio and includes abandonment, adultification, community violence, loss of innocence and generations of pain carried in silence. In safe spaces, men are beginning to recognize that what they survived was traumaโ€”and that healing requires the freedom to speak about it.
Strength isn't hiding the pain. Strength is having the courage to face it.
Itโ€™s time to take off the mask.
