We ❤️ our grandparents and are so thankful for the special impact they have in our students’ lives. Today we had a special breakfast celebrating who they are and the difference that they make.

Happy September Navs! It’s hard to believe we’re already 4 weeks into the school year. Lots of things on the docket this month including Grandparents Day Breakfast this Friday, FB/VB games, and school pictures!

We’re halfway through week number ✌🏽and our Navs are already crushing it! 💯📝 Lots of excitement ahead with football/volleyball season, fundraising, Grandparents Day, and Spirit Week - follow along so you don’t miss it!

Last weekend before the big day and our last staff summer highlight! 😎

Pastor Nate & Mrs. Ashley started out the summer at Wolfson Children’s Hospital with their son, Knox, who had a VNS placed to help with his epilepsy. 🏥 He is recovering well and they have already seen improvements. PTL! 🙌🏽 A big part of their summer was spent prepping for and leading VBS at West Meadows ☘️🐏🇮🇪📖 as well as regular church work and Nate’s lawn care business. 📖🌱 They celebrated Knox’s 9th birthday at the end of June 🎉, and took some teens to camp at the WILDS in NC for a week in July. 🏕️ They even managed to squeeze in a little family time at Itchetucknee Springs before the school year starts. 💦🐢

We can’t wait to see our students back on campus next week and hear all about your summer!

Mrs. Grace had a relaxing summer with her family. They started the summer off with a Braves game and her big Kendall Family Vacation (43 people in one house!) So fun! ⚾️🏠 She had fun teaching the Blue Class (10-12 yr. olds) in VBS at WM 🐏☘️🇮🇪 and enjoyed going to Manatee Springs. 💦 They also had fun celebrating Cow Appreciation Day, one of the best days of the year! 🐄❤️ Drop a cow in the comment if you celebrated too this year.

They enjoyed lots of family time and lots of ice cream - which sounds like a pretty amazing summer! 🍦☀️

We love our teachers and staff, and we love hearing all about their summer break. 😎 It’s also a great reminder that every person has more going on behind the scenes of their lives than we even know through pictures or in person.

Miss Christie spent her summer days cleaning around her house and setting up her new classroom for this coming school year. 📚✏️🍎She sang at her church along with her sister and she also got to visit her grandmother as well over the summer.

While our teachers have other things happening during the summer, they are still spending time thinking about the new school year and the students they have the opportunity to teach. There was lots to do as her classroom started from scratch this summer, but she has made it a bright and welcoming place for her 1st & 2nd graders. 🥰🍏📝 She even got some family help from her mom and sister. We love it when a plan comes together!

What have our teachers been up to this summer?

Miss Kay had a ministry filled summer with visits from friends and family sprinkled in. She taught the Yellow Class (6-8 yr. Olds) in our VBS at West Meadows helping kiddos learn what it means to follow Jesus as our Good Shepherd. 🐏☘️📖🇮🇪 She serves and teaches in our church nursery and filled in lots for people who were out traveling this summer. 👩🏽‍🍼 She visited family in Hilliard, FL, celebrated her birthday in July and spent time with family in town from PA. 🎉🥰

Sometimes, summer can be a time to slow down, but many times it’s just as crazy as the school year. No matter what your summer looked like, we hope you’ve been able to reset a little as we get ready to head into the regular rhythms of school life. 🗓️📚✏️
