Thinking about the future

This picture was captured of me and my team, and looking at it this morning, I realized something more than ever:

It was nothing but PRAYER that helped me make it this far. 🙏🏾

I opened Jacksonville’s first FREE-TUITION private STEM school because I believe a child’s access to an exceptional education should never be determined by their family’s income.

But this journey has tested me in ways I could have never imagined.

Less than eight months ago, our new school home was burglarized. Essential items were stolen. Contractors walked away with money that was supposed to help us build. And I learned very quickly that furnishing a home is one thing—but furnishing and operating an entire SCHOOL is a completely different beast.

There were moments when I truly did not know how we would keep going.

But we’re still here.

And I know for a FACT that it was nothing but prayer that kept me standing.

As a private school, we depend heavily on supporters, donors, sponsors, and people who believe in what we are building. I see private schools across this country receive transformational donor support, and I believe our children deserve people willing to invest boldly in them, too.

Sometimes, all it takes is ONE PERSON with a platform to see the mission, believe in it, and help others see it too.

So I’m asking my village to help us get seen.

Go to .tech and .u on Instagram and TAG the people and platforms who have the power to amplify this mission:

Tyler Perry. Oprah Winfrey. The Breakfast Club. Shaquille O’Neal. Good Morning America.

Tell them WE EXIST.

Tell them there is a free-tuition private STEM school in Jacksonville, Florida, fighting to give children access to opportunities that can change the trajectory of their lives.

Tell them we need partners who believe that EDUCATION MATTERS.

I don’t know which tag, share, comment, or DM will reach the right person.

But I do know what prayer has already done.

Now I’m praying for the person who sees this and says:

“How can I help?”
