A special experience at First Coast Ballet Theatre ✨
Dancers had the incredible opportunity to learn and work on an original piece by Jon Lehrer during his residency this week. The studio was filled with energy, focus, and commitment as these dancers challenged themselves artistically and physically through Jon’s dynamic movement style.
We are so proud of the hard work, dedication, and passion shown by every dancer involved. Opportunities like this are truly special — connecting young artists directly with working professionals and the creative process behind concert dance.

🗓️Mark your calendars for this masterclass you won’t want to miss! On January 10th, from 1:30-3:00 P.M, Susan Dodge will be instructing a modern masterclass. Read a little bit about her below 👇 and come dance with us!
Susan Dodge, a Jacksonville native, earned her BFA in Dance Performance, graduating cm laude from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. She has extensive experience performing across the country nationally, most notably with the Paul Taylor Dance Company. She has also instructed at esteemed universities, conservatory’s, and art institutions. She currently serves as President of the Amelia Island Dance Festival, now entering its 7th season, where she continues to foster a vibrant and inclusive dance community.
