Permaculture offers many practical solutions to the problems we are facing. For example, many of us understand that our present food system is unhealthy and unsustainble because it is is dependent on non-renewable energy, and lots of chemicals and technology for processing and transportation. We need to change the way we eat. For ourselves, our children and all who will come after us, we need to make the shift from being primarily "consumers" to producer/consumers.
