Great class this weekend. My favorite thing about teaching SOLO classes is meeting all the amazing people that are drawn to the wilderness medicine world. Thanks for being so awesome.

Get outside it the one things that we can still do.
National Parks will be free during coronavirus outbreak The National Park Service is temporarily waiving all entrance fees for parks that remain open.
We as a community of Wilderness Medical Providers are equipped with very good information on how to deal with out of the hospital medical care. Skills that you have learned in our classes can be useful for you and your community. We always have to honor the Golden Rule of one hour away from definitive care but there are other skills we can use that are not taught in your basic first aid course. Such as infection control, long term wound care, identifying and treating strain, sprains, and broken bones, early identification of medical emergencies, being able to do a solid patient assessment, take and monitor vitals, and documentation are all very valuable skills. So open your WFA books and empower yourself.
Hello,
We hope all of you are staying safe and are taking care of each other. We have postponed all classes till May 1st 2020. We will update as changes occur. Be safe!
Remember as of now we can still kayak, hike, and spend time in nature with social distancing safely.
