Dear Community Partners,

JPEF is hosting two upcoming community forums to help Duval County residents learn more about the renewal of the 1-mill property tax for public schools:

Wednesday, Sept. 16

Thursday, Oct. 15

These forums will give community members an opportunity to learn what the 1-mill funds, understand its impact on teachers, staff and students, ask questions, and make an informed decision before the November election.

At Paxon PTSA, we believe student leadership matters, and we are incredibly proud to recognize three outstanding Eagles whose dedication to service is making a difference at the school, county, and state levels. These young leaders most recently shined this past weekend at the 2026 Florida PTA Leadership Convention.

🎉 Mackenzie Frazier (Class of 2026) served as one of Paxon PTSA’s Student Representative, a member of the Florida PTA Student Empowerment Committee, and was a 2026 Duval County Council of PTAs Scholarship recipient.

🎉 Timothy Sloan (Class of 2026) served as a Paxon PTSA Student Representative, participated in the 2026 Duval County Council of PTAs Student Leadership Academy, and is a 2026 Florida PTA Scholarship recipient.

🎉 Izzabella Wilson (Class of 2025) continued to represent students across Florida as the 2024-2026 Florida PTA Student Representative and served on both the Florida PTA Student Empowerment Committee and Leadership Development Committee, and now as a youth member of the National PTA Membership Committee.

These students exemplify what it means to lead with integrity, serve with purpose, and use their voices to make a positive impact. Their commitment to advocacy, leadership, and service inspires our entire Paxon community.

Thank you, Mackenzie, Timothy, and Izzabella, for representing Paxon with excellence. We are grateful for your dedication and can’t wait to see all that you accomplish next. 💙🦅
