DESIGN DAY at Jacksonville University Engineering. This year we had a record number of projects for student teams. They worked on their design to pass all tests for requirements and have full functionality, the signature of our program. We are very pleased with what we could achieve as a program.

Last meeting of Freshman Design was a day full of excitement and fun. All seven teams competed in three challenges with their pingpong ball launcher designs that they worked on almost the entire semester. This year, there was a new "combat" part where teams formed armies and fired at each other. Great day!

It was a great day for students in the Freshmen Design class. Professional race car driver and entrepreneur Mr. Tiger Tari visited the class and talked about his vision for creating new products as well as his racing experiences. Students could tie his remarks to what they are learning in physics, thanks to comments by Mr. Peter Bohn, instructor of engineering. And the pizza that Mr.Tari ordered for the class could not taste any better.
