Every year, after the Annual Juried Student Show, the President of the University picks pieces to hang in his home. The students are then invited to the President’s House to see their pieces and be honored for their accomplishment! Congratulations to the selected students this year!

Our department is honored to be at the GMA: Gadsden Museum of Art’s Art Trail On Broad! Our department head, Bryce Lafferty, will be doing student portfolio reviews so don’t hesitate to tell any fellow artists you know to take advantage of this opportunity. Before graduation, three of our student workers were nominated for JSU Student Worker of The Year Award! Getting nominated for this award is a huge honor so we congratulate Brianna Bailey, Katie Moon, and Ava Somers and thank them for all their hard work.

Jax State Art & Design is hosting a National Juried Photography Exhibition in the Fall of 2026!
There are 2 categories, collegiate/professional (18+) and high school (13-17). Entry for high school is free!

BFA Part 2!
Due to the scale of the show, this post is to include more photos of all/rest of the student exhibitions! Many of these students graduated today, so it felt only right to reflect back on this incredible show!
