In fact, the Jacksonville Florida Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association covers The First Coast and surrounding areas, home to about 1,000 Hokies! Well obviously, our goal is show the Jacksonville area how proud we all are to be Hokies! But not only that... we also have numerous other goals such as:

Hokie Hike

Start walk - 10 am
Start address – Landon Middle School 1819 Thacker Ave. Jax 32207
Carolyn Ranieri will be leading the group on this approximately 3-mile walk. She will provide historical and architectural information and other interesting tidbits about San Marco.
This walk takes you through San Marco, one of Jacksonville's older exclusive neighborhoods with beautiful waterfront homes. There are many shops and restaurants available on this walk. Uneven sidewalks make this walk a challenge for wheelchairs and strollers. Note: There is no bathroom at the start of this walk but there are places along the route that we can stop.
We plan to end the walk between 11:30-12 and there are a few options we could enjoy for lunch or snacks. Dreamette Ice Cream, Foxtail Coffee Co., Crumbl Cookie, Southern Grounds & Co. and Maple Street Biscuit are a few of the places we can choose from after the walk.

The 13th annual Virginia Alumni Trivia game will take place July 24 6:30pm at the Jacksonville golf & country club! Come help us represent Virginia Tech this year! Tickets should be purchased in advance by July 17. Your $20 ticket price will help to cover the cost of appetizers, venue space, and trivia fee. Beverages will be available for order. All attendees must have a ticket to attend.
