PHOTO ESSAY | Jacksonville schools mark closures with smiles amid somber celebrations | Jacksonville Today Jacksonville Today captured the final gatherings at five Duval County elementary schools that will close or consolidate after the 2025 academic year.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in our School Closing event this past Saturday. Although we are saddened to close our doors next school year, the true spirit of Susie E. Tolbert lives on in our students, faculty, and community.

Our Legacy Sneaker Ball had students moving and shaking! They danced the night away.

Our final House Party was a day to remember! From bounce houses to games and movies and more, students fellowshipped one last time in true Tolbert fashion!

That’s a wrap for Saturday School! Our faithful Eagles who attended each week all won a brand new laptop courtesy of Duval County Public Schools! We even raffled a free bicycle too! Thank you Eagle parents for trusting our amazing faculty in preparing for the big assessments coming up.

Happy National Principal Appreciation Day to our very own, Ms. Cardoza. Thank you for your dedication and leadership to our Eagle Family. We hope you had an amazing day!
