As I reflect on my time as Principal of Cecil Early College, my heart is filled with gratitude and pride.
Together, we have built something truly special. We have celebrated academic achievements, cheered on our students at events and competitions, explored colleges and career opportunities, served our community, supported one another through challenges, and created memories that will last a lifetime. This year alone, our students excelled in the classroom, earned industry certifications, participated in clubs and activities, achieved success on state assessments and end-of-course exams, and continued the tradition of excellence that has always defined Cecil Early College.
While the closing of our school marks the end of an important chapter, it does not mark the end of our story. Schools are much more than buildings and classrooms; they are the people who bring them to life. The impact of Cecil Early College will continue through every student who walks across a graduation stage, earns a college degree, begins a career, serves their community, or pursues a dream they once thought impossible.
To the Class of 2026: Congratulations! You have worked hard, overcome obstacles, and accomplished so much. As you begin your next chapter, remember that success is not measured only by where you go, but by how you treat others, how you respond to challenges, and how faithfully you pursue your goals. Dream big, work hard, and never forget that you will always be part of the Cecil family.
To our underclassmen who will continue their educational journeys at new schools, I encourage you to carry forward the lessons, friendships, and experiences you gained here. Continue striving for excellence, continue leading with character, and continue believing in your ability to achieve great things.
To our parents, faculty, staff, community partners, and supporters: Thank you. Your dedication, encouragement, and belief in our students made all the difference. The success of Cecil Early College has always been a reflection of the incredible people who invested their time, talents, and hearts into this school community.
As we close this chapter, let us focus not on what is ending, but on what has been accomplished and what lies ahead. The legacy of Cecil Early College will live on through the lives we touched and the futures we helped shape.
Thank you for allowing me the privilege of serving as your Principal.
Moving Together Forward...
