One of the best parts of going to Toastmasters meetings is that you learn things you’d never learn about otherwise.

Adamou Siddo presented an extremely educational presentation about Sickle Cell Anemia and its connection to Malaria at our last meeting. It was eye-opening and so valuable!

Thank you, Adamou, for the time and energy you put into educating us on this topic!

Well Toastmaster Kurt put a fun spin on the original saying and gave us all an easy way of remembering this important evaluation technique.

Lead with what they did well, share a few things they can work on, then close with a recap of their strengths.

Our member, Kurt Radecki, delivered a 10/10 speech this week. He gave an invaluable lesson on how to curate and deliver an evaluation during a toastmasters meeting.

If you’ve never been to a club meeting before, each week there are 2-3 prepared speeches that are then evaluated by another member of the club. These evaluations are extremely valuable in helping you develop and grow as a speaker.

Kurt shared 3 highly useful and applicable tips for writing and delivering kind yet impactful evaluations to help speakers grow in the way they intended to when joining the club.

These guys showed out during Table Topics this week! Our theme was “Beat The Clock” so we heard fun answers to questions like “what would you do with an extra hour per week?” and “what is something you always make time for?”

Yesterday we had the honor of hearing one of our new members give his first speech. Keith’s Ice Breaker speech took us on a journey through his developing love for hiking and spending time outdoors.

From exploring as a child, to enjoying “green therapy” in college, and then sharing that love with his own children in adulthood, Keith delivered an excellent story as his first Toastmasters speech!
