Here at NFSSE, we love our people! Our beloved Officer Wendy was surprised by our Intermediate students and a student mom with a special gift to thank him for all he does to keep our students, staff, and campus safe throughout the year.💙

The last week of school is in full swing and we’re celebrating the incredible accomplishments of our students! ✨

Every student is recognized with a joylight award, shining a spotlight on the unique ways they have grown, encouraged others, and brightened our campus this year.

Our resource electives also celebrated students with specialty awards celebrating their creativity, hard work. 💙

So many smiles, proud moments, and memories to celebrate as we close out another amazing school year!🤗

Staff Spotlight: Nurse Cathy!🩺 💙

After 6 years at NFSSE, we’re celebrating Nurse Cathy’s final year with us before retirement! Alongside Nurse Beth, she became one of the school’s first nurses in 2020, helping care for our students and families with compassion every step of the way.

Whether she’s greeting students at morning carline, supporting families in the clinic, or joining the senior trip, Nurse Cathy has always led with heart. As both a nurse and parent of an NFSSE student, she brought a special level of understanding, comfort, and advocacy to our community.

Outside of school, she loves traveling, volunteering for St. Vincent DePaul, cheering on the Florida Gators, and hopes to return to her passion for sailboat racing in retirement. ⛵️💙
