The Developmental Learning Center (DLC) is a quality, faith-based child care facility for children with medically complexities and special needs. DLC provides child care services, preschool, VPK, early intervention, PPEC, extended day programs, nursing care, onsite therapy services (physical, occupational and speech), developmental screening, summer care and low adult to child ratios for small gro

up attention to individual goals for each child. We have classrooms for infants 6 weeks - 5 year olds, including VPK for 4 year olds. We also have after school programs and summer care for children up to 22 years of age. DLC serves children with Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome, Spina Bifida, Treacher Collins Syndrome, developmental delays, Microcephaly, Autism, genetic disorders, seizure disorders, Congenital Heart Defects, HIE, and other special needs & medical complexities - are welcome at the Developmental Learning Center. DLC is also an inclusion center and serves a limited number of typical developing children.

🚓🚑🚒 Happy National First Responders Day! 💙

Today we’re celebrating the brave men and women who serve and protect our communities every day — our heroes in uniform! 🙌

Our DLC kiddos joined in the fun by dressing up as their favorite first responders — firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and more! 👮‍♀️👨‍🚒💛

Through play and imagination, they remind us that courage, kindness, and helping others start young. Thank you to all who serve with heart and dedication — you are truly appreciated! ❤️

🎨🐻 Fine Motor Fun at DLC! 🐻💧
Our little learners are hard at work (and play!) during this colorful fine motor and sensory activity! Using spoons to scoop the bright teddy bears from the water, they’re practicing coordination, color recognition, sorting, and concentration — all while having a blast. 🌈✨

Our Story

DLC Nurse & Learn (DLC) is a quality, child care facility for children with severe disabilities and medically complex conditions. Children attending DLC have a wide range of disabilities, including Down Syndrome, Arthrogryposis, Tuberous Sclerosis, Tay-Sachs Disease, Cerebral Palsy and seizure disorders. Due to the special needs of the children served, DLC maintains a professional staff including a Registered Nurse, Nursing Assistants, Special Education Teachers, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech Therapists. DLC currently offers full and part-time special education preschool, extended day for children (birth to 3 years) and for older students attending public school (3-22 years of age). DLC also provides full-time nursing care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, therapeutic summer camp and M.O.V.E. mobility training. All of these services allow parents to continue their education and/or work.
